In the boardroom W.C Boggs and Sons, makers of fine toiletware - are testing their latest toilet bowl for size and comfort. Hard at work in the packing room are Chloe Moor and others, under the supervision of Vic Spanner.
The industrious atmosphere doesn't last long. After a swifty contrived dispute over tea breaks, the whole factory goes on strike.
For some people like Sid Plummer, by him coming home early, made a fortune of horse racing. But for everybody else, the afternoon off has been far from happy. Vic has been left out on the street on his own- in his underwear.
Work returns back to normal a couple days later but another strike is called by Vic when he discover two of his fitters are required to do two jobs. W.C Boggs is facing bankruptcy!
The workers go back to work just in time for the annual outing to Brighton. W.C Boggs joins them, which startles everybody. The trip turns to an uncontrollable party. The whole party returns home tipsy but totally happy.
The factory's problems are also about to be solved. Work is resumed, and W.C Boggs is in business again. 86 min (PG 10).
