Beautiful People
Format: Zone 2 DVD
The Story unfolds in the Namib desert, that vast barren waste-land where only tiny prints in the sand tell a story of a life that exists - where little creatures, from insects to reptiles, reign. A story of survival of the fittest.
The ‘stars’ are natural, yet almost human. There is the little baboon who robs the ostrich nest and, when mother gives chase, dashes with the egg under his arm.
There is also the story of the honey-badger, the bird and the beehive. They have a gentlemen’s agreement - the bird finds the hive, the honey badger takes the honey out and and then leaves the bird a share of the loot as payment.
Another one is how a mother fish keeps her 120 babies in her mouth and lets them out to play when they become too troublesome.
The only humans in the story are the wonderful Bushmen who live close to natur and form part of it.
